2004 Australian Air Guitar Champion

‘Rock n Roll Troy’, VIC State Champ took out the 3^rd Annual 2004 Australian Air Guitar Championships (AAGC) National Grand Final, Friday night 02/4/04 at ‘Panthers World of Entertainment’, Penrith, New South Wales.   

Troy went onto represent Australia at the 9^th Annual Air Guitar World Championships (AGWC), where he placed 8th overall from a field of 16 competitors.

Now etched in history, ‘Rock n Roll Troy’s’ win was sweet but not easy due to very stiff competition from fellow state & territory champions including: ‘Kink in Pink’ (NT), ‘Rick Star Rock Star’ (NSW), ‘Cas Man’ (TAS) & the ‘Wild Man from the Wheat Belt’ (WA).

‘Rock n Roll Troy’ played the classic track, ‘The Final Countdown’, from 80’s band ‘Europe’ in his free round, and, along with the other competitors played ‘Ace of Spades’ by ‘Motor Head’ in the Compulsory round.

Troy’s dynamic stage presentation gave him the slightest of edges over second placegetter ‘G’ (QLD) & third placegetter ‘Dr Strange Pork’ (SA).  Competitors put on an unforgettable show performing countless outrageous air antics to impress the judges and the large appreciative audience.
