2008 NZ RPS Champs Report
After months of gruelling, war of nerves competition Cameron Blair aka ‘Cam’ aka ‘Fresh faced Punk’ from Christchurch has taken out the 2nd annual 2007 ‘New Zealand Rock Paper Scissors Championships’ (NZRPSC) National Final held on Sunday 22/7/07 at ‘The Bog Irish Bar’ Manukau, Sth Auckland.

‘Cam’ (pictured above left) overcame some major heat from fellow regional champ and eventual runner up Michael Archer aka ‘The Archer’ (pic above right) to secure victory & claim the title.
‘Cam’ went onto to compete in the 6th annual 2007 World RPS Championships (WRPSC) in Toronto, Canada on the 13th of October where he placed in the top eight.
The 2007 WRPSC brought approx 1000 competitors and spectators from around the world to Toronto where players competed for the prestigious title of World Champion and a total purse of CDN$10,000.00.
Andrea Farina, the first ever femail RPS World Champ, from New York, USA won the 2007 World Rock Paper Championship. Farina beat approximately 500 competitors to take the World Champion title, $7,000 CDN and the gold medal.
