2010 Thumb Wrestling World Championships – GRAND FINAL RESULTS

The 2010 third annual 'Thumb Wrestling World Championships' (TWWC) took place at the 'La Trobe University'/'Eagle Bar' , Bundoora, Victoria, Australia on Thursday night the 26th of August.

He came from ‘The land of the Rising Sun’ but to those present at the 2010 ‘Thumb Wrestling World Championships’, he came from ‘The Land of the Rising Thumb!’

‘Hirokazu Kaneko’ aka ‘Hiro’, a 22 yoa right handed genius from Hokkaido, took out the prestigious title of 2010 World Thumb wrestling Champion at the La Trobe University, Victoria on Thur night 26^th August.

Victory was very sweet but not easy for the Japanese Thumb Warrior as he withstood stiff competition from round one until the final where he faced off against a fierce opponent in ‘Tim Jansson’ aka ‘The Doctor’ from Massachusetts, USA. Hiro’s stamina coupled with pure determination to secure the title got him across the line two games to one in a hard fought match.

The scene was similar in the Female division with a twist of additional pressure for defending 2009 champion, ‘Krystal Villaflores’ aka ‘Special K’ (Australia) who went onto secure back to back titles defeating rookie, ‘Marie Kenyon’ aka ‘Mad Dog Marie’ (Australia).

Both champs have declared their intension to defend their titles.
